Our facility has
one of the highest concentrations of Internet bandwidth
in a single site in the country. All servers are
homed on a fully-switched, collision-free LAN with fully
redundant core and distribution paths, engineered
for maximum performance and reliability. The network is
externally connected to the Internet at Gigabit or multi-Gigabit
levels to 4 diverse carriers, by Foundry NetIron 40G Switch
Routers using BGP4 route selection. The network
core employs Foundry BigIron 800 multiLayer switches with
currently deployed capacity of 6x10 Gbps. Foundry EdgeIron
48G and Cisco Catalyst switches provide distribution and
access to the racks. Each distribution switch is connected
upstream by multiple Gig-E uplinks to separate core/distribution
switches for redundancy.

Our datacenter
resides within a professionally managed carrier-class
telecommunications facility with diverse fiber
entrances, and multiple electrical utility
feeds with redundancy of N+1 or higher at every
failure point. Five Separate 800 kVA MGE EPS
6000 Series UPS Systems run in an independent
3+2 redundancy configuration with N+1 diesel
generator backup. The datacenter is cooled
by premium quality Liebert and Stultz environmental
controls with extensive redundancy and spare
parts on premises. Multi-tiered security includes
on-site personnel, mantraps, extensive video
surveillance, and tightly restricted access
to each branch of the facility. In the event
of catastrophe, the datacenter can run fully
self-sufficient almost indefinitely.

All
of our machines are built from professional-grade
server components designed for use in a managed
datacenter environment. The operating system
is configured for maximum reliability and performance
in the server's assigned role, hardened for
security, and critical
patches
are always up
to date. Proactive
real-time
analysis of each server element allows us to
detect early warning signs before these issues
escalate to failure and downtime.
Servers are monitored 24 hours a day and uptime
exceeds
99.9%.
All servers run fully mirrored RAID disk arrays
that are backed up daily to ensure fast recovery
in
the event of server failure.
